I just love love loved photographing this engagement session. It's pretty awesome when your whole session is filled with laughter and smiles. Not to mention how easy it is to photograph people when they're naturally smiling to begin with.
We started taking photos at the barn on our farmor's property. Farmor is danish for father's mother or as most people would say grandma. I think each family member has a special place in their hearts for the old barn and farmhouse. Back when we were kids, Elisa and I and all of our cousins spent a lot of time playing in the field, gravel pit, and in and around the barn. So there's no shortage of good memories out at the farmhouse. After taking photos at the barn we hopped in our cars and drove out to Sproat Lake Park to catch the sunset. And I must say it was pretty dreamy.
A little bit about Elisa and Terry. The two met one evening in Edmonton at a swing dancing club. Elisa was actually on her way to the restroom when she met Terry. You truly never know where you'll meet the love of your life! The rest is pretty much history.
They are both ridiculously kind souls. So I'm over the moon to be photographing their wedding this coming March at the beautiful Cucko Trattoria.
